Requesting device support

If your device is not listed in the software currently in use, simply click here on Device Search. You will then be directed to the Device Search page of System General, and can search for the device. If the component is found, you will get listed the socket module and software version you need to program the device. If the component is not found, it is not yet supported. In this case, you can send us a device support request by email. Please include all component-specific information as described below.

The first important factor to a support request is the information of the device (manufacturer, exact device name, date code, package type and number of pins). The specification for the used programmer is also an important indication. Experience has shown that the accuracy of this information and the availability of sample devices speeds up the timely delivery of the correct algorithms. Please keep in mind that in principle for the implementation or modification of a programming algorithm pattern blocks and programming specifications are required. Another important point is the amount of time that remains between the submission of the device request and the planned start of production.
The sooner you contact us via the device request, the more certain you can be that you have the support available at the desired start of production. We of course do everything to provide algorithms also for short-term inquiries as soon as possible. However, since in principle for the implementation or modification of a programming algorithm pattern blocks and programming specifications are required, this can lead to timing problems. If you can provide sample parts, this can significantly accelerate your device support. Make your queries as soon as possible, therefore, if possible with the availability of sample components, so your production can start without delay.
Due to the rapid advancements in the semiconductor market, the semiconductor industry continually brings new programmable devices on the market. It is about increasing memory sizes, new component technologies and new forms of housing. In addition, various components are discontinued from leading component manufacturers and manufactured by other suppliers in license agreement. Rapid implementation of the changes can only be achieved through close cooperation between customers and device manufacturers. If you want to support a new device, please send us the above mentioned information. A time frame for the support can be given until sample device, programming specifications and a suitable socket for the device contact at system General are available.
